The U.S. continues to dangerously increase its military presence along Venezuela's coast and throughout the Caribbean under the outrageous and false pretext of “fighting narcoterrorism.” Over the last month, the Trump Administration has sent at least eight Navy warships, a nuclear submarine, and 4,500 U.S. Marines and Navy soldiers to the region, and also deployed 10 F-35 fighter jets to Puerto Rico. On September 15, 2025, the U.S. military announced that they had struck another Venezuelan boat in international waters, killing three people, weeks after an earlier attack that killed 11 people.
In response to these attacks, join the Venezuela Solidarity Network for an important conversation with Carlos Luis Rivero, Executive Director of the Simon Bolivar Institute for Peace and Solidarity Between Peoples in Venezuela and Déborah Berman Santana, Boricua living and organizing in her native Puerto Rico and member of the Cuba Solidarity Committee.
This month’s online action will be moderated by Adrienne Pine, a US based anthropologist whose work centers on neoliberal fascism and empire.
Trump's escalating threats are part of the ongoing U.S.-led imperialist attacks, which include a genocidal campaign of blockades and sanctions against the Venezuelan people. Now more than ever, we must stand with the people of Venezuela and the Caribbean fighting back in defense of their sovereignty and self-determination, uniting our voices to demand:
Hands Off Venezuela!
U.S. Out of Puerto Rico!
U.S. Out of Latin America and the Caribbean!
