On January 3rd, 2026 the United States government launched an illegal and deadly military strike on Venezuela. During the Trump administration’s vicious military attack, which killed over 100 people, the U.S. kidnapped the democratically elected President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, a flagrant violation of international law and Venezuela’s sovereignty.
President Maduro and Cilia Flores are now being unjustly held in Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, facing fabricated charges of “narco-terrorism.”
Join this month’s action with the Venezuela Solidarity Network for updates from the March 26 U.S. Court hearing and to add your voice to the international call for freedom for President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores, in defense of Venezuela’s sovereignty and self-determination.
Following a panel of speakers and discussion, we will have a workshop session where we will join together to write letters of support and solidarity to President Maduro and Cilia Flores.

- Victor Coronado, Dominican American natural gas first responder and union member (IBEW Local 1820) from Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He is a member of ANTICONQUISTA, an anti-imperialist media collective, and recently joined the Venezuela Solidarity Network. A longtime supporter of the Cuban Revolution, he participated in the Nuestra América solidarity convoy to Cuba in March 2026 and is active with the Hands Off Cuba Committee.
