Venezuela & Cuba: 25+Years of Mutual Solidarity
Simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish
In April 2026 Venezuela and Cuba marked 23 years of the Barrio Adentro Medical Mission, a social program launched by Presidents Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez in 2003. This program, which continues to bring free, accessible healthcare to people in Venezuela, has been continuously expanded and achieved 100% coverage of the country in the last decade. Barrio Adentro is one example of the mutual solidarity that Venezuela and Cuba have developed for more than 25 years, since the beginning of the Bolivarian revolutionary project.
Join this month's Venezuela Solidarity Network webinar to hear from speakers from the U.S., Venezuela and Cuba about the character, importance and impact of this mutual solidarity, especially in the face of the continued genocidal U.S. blockade against Cuba and sanctions against Venezuela as well as escalating threats and attacks by the U.S. Trump administration in the region.
The April 28 Webinar will also include updates about the campaign for the freedom of President Maduro and Cilia Flores from U.S. jail.
