Americas Without Sanctions: Advocacy Day

On Thursday, October 26, join us in Congress for an important advocacy day event: Americas Without Sanctions

The US government has imposed economic coercive measures (sanctions) on progressive or leftist governments in Latin America, contrary to international and humanitarian law. Combined with hybrid warfare interventions in Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, the measures are responsible for mass deaths, suffering, emigration, and billions of dollars in asset theft. They violate human rights by disrupting elected governments in their efforts to provide citizen access to food, medicines, fuel, and sanitation supplies.

We must take action and demand that Congress puts an end to sanctions in the Americas. Let's come together and send a strong message: DO NOT IMPOSE COLLECTIVE PUNISHMENT IN OUR NAME! SANCTIONS KILL! Join us on October 26 for Americas Without Sanctions and let your voice be heard.

  • Step 1: Please sign up to receive important information about Advocacy Day
  • Step 2: Look up your congressperson here.
  • Step 3: Reach out to your representatives to set up a meeting for Oct 26, 2023 from 1PM to 4PM as soon as possible. If you require assistance, kindly email us. (See sample email for a meeting)

Please make every effort to schedule appointments to meet directly with the elected official. Although it is common to meet with staff aides in a congressional office, your representative or senator should make every effort to meet with you as you are a constituent. However, their schedules might affect their ability to meet with you.

Can we count you in?
