Venezuelan migrants in the U.S. have been targeted as part of the Trump administration's brutally escalating attacks on migrants. 238 Venezuelan migrants were kidnapped from the U.S. and sent to the notorious CECOT torture prison in El Savaldor. 350,000 Venezuelan migrants living in the U.S. have been stripped of their TPS (Temporary Protected Status) and are under threat of immediate deportation.
Washington criminalizes migrants to justify the US hybrid war against Venezuela when -- in fact -- the hybrid war is the primary driver of migration. Trump’s accusation that Venezuela is a “narco-state” rests on the equally false contention that migrants are criminals unleashed by Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to subvert the U.S.
Join this month’s Webinar as we discuss what is behind the Trump administration's attacks on Venezuelan migrants and the complicity of the Salvadoran President. We will hear directly from human rights activists on the ground in El Salvador and Venezuela as well as family members of Venezuelans imprisoned in CECOT.
